Silhouette – Iconic Eyewear made in Austria. Since 1964.
Exceptional aesthetic often arises from the combination of two seemingly opposing poles. Silhouette eyewear has always succeeded in mastering this art: Achieving unparalleled lightness through inner strength. To remain true to oneself and to constantly set new impulses. To create timeless design that also meets the spirit of the age.
In Austria, Silhouette have a long tradition of producing classic and innovative eyewear that goes right back to 1964. Their production philosophy – with its craftsmanship and emphasis on manual work – is akin to that of a cottage industry. The result is unique eyewear that will delight and surprise you in terms of its innovation. Excellent design and high-tech materials create a clarity of design that expresses the individuality of the people who wear them.

A pair of glasses weighing only 1.8 grams – with no frames, screws, or hinges. Light as a feather. A whole new level of comfort which to this day remains unrivaled by any other glasses.
Titan Minimal Art has won 11 design awards and become the most sold model in Silhouette’s history with more than 12 million people wearing it to date. Since then it has become the icon of the Silhouette company and the inspiration behind the brand’s fundamental design concept:
“Eliminating anything superfluous makes what is necessary even more unique”.
Silhouette is the only major eyewear manufacturer to have its production entirely manufactured in Europe, this being at the Silhouette “state of the art” production facility in Linz, Austria.
Using the best technology available, every single piece of eyewear undergoes 40 days of manufacture in over 270 processes, 80 hours of polishing, using natural materials (such as nutshell granules) and 100 quality checks to ensure that they are perfect. 80% of the production of a Silhouette frame is still performed by hand.
Everyday more than 6000 people choose a Silhouette frame and independent research shows over 90% of them would buy Silhouette again. Every 50 seconds a Titan Minimal Art is sold somewhere in the world.
